After two weeks on the road, Appleton City/Montrose is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Sherwood at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Appleton City/Montrose have to be aching after a bruising 0-28 defeat to Midway last Friday. Appleton City/Montrose were down by 0-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Sherwood, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They were completely outmatched, falling 8-56 to Lighthouse Christian. The state rankings had actually given Sherwood a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
