The South Lenoir Blue Devils were the 42-32 winner over the Dixon Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. South Lenoir was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 26-25 to Dixon. South Lenoir has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
South Lenoir's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Tyndall, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals. Alexus Haddock was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
South Lenoir has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Dixon, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
South Lenoir will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ayden - Grifton at 6:00 p.m. As for Dixon, they will head out on the road to face off against South Lenoir at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
