Baseball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Bedford took on Lawrence Upper on Thursday. The Bearcats took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Alex Barto was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Bedford: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. James Kidd was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Bedford now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lawrence Upper, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Bedford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Fuchs Mizrachi on the 13th. As for Lawrence Upper, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Medina Christian Academy on the 13th.
