The Copper Basin Cougars's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, everything went Copper Basin's way against Lookout Valley as Copper Basin made off with a 66-41 victory. The win was just what Copper Basin needed coming off of a 71-48 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for Justus Hamby, who scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Avery Crowder was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Chattanooga Prep beat South Pittsburg 54-48 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chattanooga Prep.
Copper Basin's win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17. As for Chattanooga Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
