In other batting news, Kaylee Goodpaster and Bailee Gladden did most of the damage at the plate: Goodpaster scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Gladden scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Gladden has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Goff, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
North Bay Haven Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Florida State University High School, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both Florida State University High School and North Bay Haven Academy just can't seem to miss. Florida State University High School has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game.
