When it comes to explaining why Maimonides lost, one person who can't be blamed is Leah Kaplan. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. That was a full 48.4% of Maimonides' points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Prospect Hill Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Maimonides, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Prospect Hill Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maimonides will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Legends at 4:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Neighborhood House Charter has 13 straight wins, the M-Cats have three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
