NorthPointe Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Belding Black Knights an 8-0 shutout. NorthPointe Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by four goals or more this season.

NorthPointe Christian pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six matchups. As for Belding, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
