Kennedy is 2-8 against Moreau Catholic since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Titans will square off against the Mariners at 4:00 p.m. Kennedy will be strutting in after a win while Moreau Catholic will be coming in after a loss.
Kennedy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Tennyson as they made off with an 18-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Violet Jaramillo tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vanessa Vera, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Vanessa Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Kennedy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive matchups.
Moreau Catholic couldn't beat Arroyo last Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Mariners fell 14-10 to the Dons. That's two games in a row now that the Mariners have lost by exactly four runs.
Sienna Rios led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Olivia Ritchie was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Moreau Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kennedy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Moreau Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Kennedy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Moreau Catholic, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Kennedy keep running through batters, or will the Mariners buck the trend?
Kennedy couldn't quite get it done against Moreau Catholic in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 4-0. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
