There's no place like home for the Alpine Bucks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Tornillo 75-20 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-9.
Alpine was led to victory by Hope Dominguez and Novah Carrasco. Dominguez dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Carrasco dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Carrasco has scored at least a third of Alpine's points. Another player making a difference was Ali Maroney, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Alpine has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-16 record this season. As for Tornillo, they are on a 21-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alpine will challenge the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tornillo, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
