Basketball Recap: Hilltop Triumphs

Hilltop hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Roman Miramontes that streak is no more. The Hilltop Lancers managed a 35-29 victory over the Logan Memorial Education Campus Eagles on Wednesday thanks in part to Miramontes, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (four).

Another player making a difference was Ami Blea, who posted eight points and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.

Hilltop's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Logan Memorial Education Campus, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Hilltop has already played their next contest (against Horizon Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Logan Memorial Education Campus will welcome Clairemont at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Clairemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Logan Memorial Education Campus likes a good challenge.
