Wakefield (Raleigh, N.C.) captured the lead on a touchdown pass by 
Evan Brabrand to 
Tim Adams with 1:00 left in the fourth quarter to defeat 
Sanderson (Raleigh, N.C.) 34-27 on Saturday.
The Wolverines led 21-14 at halftime, but the Spartans regained the lead on a touchdown with 8:00 to go in the third.
By the end of the third, Wakefield found itself trailing by six points as Sanderson captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. SHS scored on a 
Matt Koehler touchdown run and a Koehler touchdown pass to 
Jah Laville in the quarter.
Brabrand was one of the big reasons WHS got the victory, as he threw four touchdowns.
Brabrand was the top performer for the Wolverines. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 40-6 win for Wakefield.
The loss comes after Sanderson defeated Holly Springs 27-16 last week. The loss ended Sanderson's two-game winning streak.
In a 4A Conference 11 game next week Wakefield (5-0) takes on Enloe, and Sanderson (2-3) will go up against Heritage also in a 4A Conference 11 game.
