After flying high against the Buckholts Badgers last Tuesday, the Richards Panthers came back down to earth. Richards fell 49-41 to Fayetteville on Tuesday. Richards was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fayetteville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Fayetteville can attribute much of their success to Kayme Schley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Schley has scored at least 25% of Fayetteville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Dyer, who scored ten points along with six assists and four steals.
Richards has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Fayetteville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.
Richards will square off against North Zulch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayetteville, they will be playing at home against Round Top-Carmine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Round Top-Carmine is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
