The Patterson Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Golden Valley 63-28 at home. The result was nothing new for Patterson, who have now won six games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Patterson was led to victory by Jeremiah Lugo and Max Medina. Lugo rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, while Medina threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Lugo is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Johnson, who picked up 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Patterson's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Golden Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4.
Patterson will challenge Buhach Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buhach Colony is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Golden Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
