Fort Bend Austin put the finishing touches on their 19th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat George Ranch 102-10 on the road. Fort Bend Austin's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Fort Bend Austin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrea Sturdivant, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 14 assists, and ten steals. Sturdivant hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Shun?teria Anumele, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 steals.
Meanwhile, Fort Bend Elkins strolled past George Ranch with points to spare last Saturday, taking the game 61-42.
Among those leading the charge was Paris Anderson, who scored 22 points. Maddie Rhea was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Fort Bend Austin pushed their record up to 25-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Fort Bend Austin hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 71.7 points per game. It's a different story for Fort Bend Elkins, though, as they've been averaging only 41.7 points per game. The only thing between Fort Bend Austin and another offensive beatdown is Fort Bend Elkins. Will they be able to keep them contained?
