Montville extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Connecticut - Medium this week by beating Waterford, 54-20. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Indians.
Ledyard took down East Lyme 48-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Bacon Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nate Kozlowski threw for 40 yards and Ryan Duclos had 50 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Stolzman chipped in 41 yards. Tom LaSaracina helped Bacon Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
Jake Bartha provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Bobcats fell to Windham. He completed five passes for 20 yards and also ran for 40 yards.
Bacon Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kozlowski has thrown for 672 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Duclos has 27 catches for 395 yards. Stolzman leads the league in rushing with 185 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Montville takes on the Colonels. At the moment, Tanner Grove's team is in first, while Ledyard is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Indians take on Jim Buonocore's team. Montville has allowed 106 points this season, while the Colonels have given up 92. The Indians allowed 20 points last week as they bested the Lancers.
Montville led Eastern Connecticut - Medium in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Waterford.
