The LaBrae Vikings gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 64-28 victory over Heartland Christian.
LaBrae got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Kuszmaul out in front who scored 13 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Scruggs, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
LaBrae's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Heartland Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
LaBrae will be playing at home against Girard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Heartland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
