Plymouth proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Pelham Pythons 1-0. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Bobcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Noah Shaw made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Shaw was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Shaw wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Daigneault, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
Plymouth's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pelham, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
