The Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They strolled past Nova with points to spare, taking the game 27-8. The victory was just what Pembroke Pines Charter needed coming off of a 27-2 defeat in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Gonzalez, who threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns while completing 79.4% of his passes. Izayah Drapin also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.
Pembroke Pines Charter's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB ten times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Pembroke Pines Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Nova, their loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pembroke Pines Charter will face off against American at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nova, they will head out on the road to face off against South Plantation at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (South Plantation is ranked 414th, while Nova is ranked 426th).
