Trico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Steeleville Warriors. On the bright side, the 47- point performance marked the Pioneers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Trico's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Steeleville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Trico wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-40 defeat against Carterville on the 6th. As for Steeleville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-59 victory against Gibault Catholic on the 6th.
