Cedar Bluffs has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday. Even though Cedar Bluffs has not done well against Lyons-Decatur Northeast recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cedar Bluffs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-19 win over Lyons-Decatur Northeast. The win was just what Cedar Bluffs needed coming off of a 47-18 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Omaha Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 69-27 loss at the hands of Weeping Water. Omaha Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.
Cedar Bluffs now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Omaha Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Cedar Bluffs came up short against Omaha Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 30-22. Can Cedar Bluffs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
