Oceanside extended the longest winning streak in Avocado - West this week by beating Carlsbad, 54-3. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Oceanside took down the Lancers 54-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jacob Bedford was the best wideout in the league this week as Vista fell to Rancho Buena Vista. Bedford racked up two receptions for 48 yards.
Bedford was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 84 yards on 11 carries as the Panthers lost to the Longhorns.
Christian Chapman put up the best numbers through the air as Carlsbad lost to John Carroll's team. He finished with 10 completions for 93 yards. Chapman's favorite target this week was Aaryn Dorsett, who caught one pass for 33 yards.
The Pirates' Israel Paopao and Mikah Holder have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Avocado - West in both passing and receiving yards. Paopao has thrown for 1220 yards this season, while Holder, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 20 catches for 444 yards. Shawn Cameron from Thadd MacNeal's team leads the league in rushing with 635 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when La Costa Canyon takes on the Lancers. As it stands, the Mavericks are in second, while Carlsbad is in fourth.
Oceanside led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Lancers.
