Penn Cambria let Caden Gibbons and Preston Farabaugh run wild. Gibbons went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Farabaugh got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Farabaugh a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Vinglish, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Forest Hills came out on top against Westmont Hilltop on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Rangers put the hurt on the Hilltoppers with a sharp 12-2 win. Considering the Rangers have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Maddox Dombrosky and Bryce Roberts did most of the damage at the plate: Dombrosky went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Roberts went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kolbie Smiach, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Forest Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westmont Hilltop only posted an OBP of .407.
Forest Hills is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Penn Cambria, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
