Baseball Recap: South Carroll Has No Trouble Against Linganore

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westminster, South Carroll was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Linganore Lancers. The Cavaliers have beaten the Lancers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lancers has come to flipping the script.

Drew Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, South Carroll got a massive performance out of Caleb Evans, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Connor Raeder was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got South Carroll back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, South Carroll will head out to challenge Winters Mill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Linganore, they will challenge Oakdale on Friday.
