Basketball Recap: West York Area's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but West York Area unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Governor Mifflin Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Mustangs are ranked 54th).

West York Area's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Governor Mifflin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West York Area will host Twin Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Twin Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully West York Area likes a good challenge. As for Governor Mifflin, they will face off against Lampeter-Strasburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
