When it comes to explaining why Murphy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deangelon Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Simmons, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Murphy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Theodore, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
