Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Ferrell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Estill County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Perry County Central made easy work of Leslie County on Monday and carried off a 15-1 win.
Taylan Hoskins and Ashlyn Dixon did most of the damage at the plate: Hoskins went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Dixon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Dixon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Dixon, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Estill County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Perry County Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Estill County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. However, it's not like Perry County Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .408. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
