The Linton-Stockton Miners had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past Paoli with a 46-40 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Linton-Stockton sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Jehrico Hopper and Carley Higgins certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hopper dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds, while Higgins scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Hopper has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.
Linton-Stockton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Paoli, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
Linton-Stockton will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. North Knox will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak. Paoli does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
