After flying high against Ambridge  last Saturday, Fox Chapel came back down to earth. The Fox Chapel Foxes fell just short of the Hempfield Area Spartans by a score of  50-47 on Tuesday. The Foxes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Fox Chapel's loss  came despite strong showings from  Asher White and  Caden Kaiser.  White  went 6 for 13 on his way to 21  points, while  Kaiser  almost  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and nine  rebounds.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Fox Chapel  fell to 3-1. As for Hempfield Area, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
 Fox Chapel will welcome Seneca Valley  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fox Chapel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2  points per game  this season. As for Hempfield Area, they will take on Mt. Lebanon at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
