The Elizabeth Forward Warriors will challenge the Trinity Hillers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Elizabeth Forward's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Uniontown with a sharp 10-0 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.
Charlie Nigut and Jacob Peterson made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Nigut tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Peterson didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. What's more, Nigut posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At bat, Nigut got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles, while Peterson went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Nigut is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

On the hitting side, Trinity got a big performance out of Ayvari Chandler, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Matthew Robaugh, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Elizabeth Forward pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Elizabeth Forward's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Trinity, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Elizabeth Forward continue to outrun the ball?
