The Milford Tigers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Rockwell by a score of 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Milford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carson Cheney, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadler Barnes, who scored 13 points along with nine assists.
Speaking of assists, Milford were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Milford's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Rockwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
