The Skyline Grizzlies will challenge the Bonneville Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Skyline comes in on four and Bonneville on 14.
Skyline barely beat Shelley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Russets on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

05/06/24 vs Bonneville | 1 |
John Giannini tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Izaak Hansen was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryson Schwedes, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shelley only posted an OBP of .185.
Meanwhile, Bonneville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Idaho Falls on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bees have posted against the Tigers since April 14, 2023.
Carter Bowen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Bowen was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Bowen wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Martin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Bonneville's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Skyline has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .471. However, it's not like Bonneville struggles in that department as they've averaged .495. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Skyline suffered a grim 25-17 defeat to Bonneville when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
