The Shore Regional Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Monmouth Regional Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Shore Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 21-6 bruising from St. John-Vianney. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Shore Regional couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Monmouth Regional got themselves on the board against Toms River East on Friday, but Toms River East never followed suit. They blew past the Raiders, posting a 28-0 win on the road.
Dom O'Grady and Nasir Watson were among the main playmakers for Monmouth Regional as the former threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes and the latter rushed for 149 yards while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
Monmouth Regional's win bumped their season record to 5-2 while Shore Regional's loss dropped theirs to 4-2.
Shore Regional was able to grind out a solid victory over Monmouth Regional in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, winning 17-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shore Regional since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
