Biggs has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Mt. Shasta Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Biggs will be strutting in after a win while Mt. Shasta will be coming in after a loss.
Biggs put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-14 victory over Willows at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Biggs just coasted through the last quarter.
Davis Long got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 299 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Long was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards. Solomon Melendez was in the mix too, providing Biggs with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 32 points the game before, Mt. Shasta were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Hamilton 48-6. Mt. Shasta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Mt. Shasta, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Biggs against Mt. Shasta in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 42-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Biggs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
