Sapulpa is 3-0 against Holland Hall since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sapulpa Chieftains will be staying on the road to face off against the Holland Hall Dutch at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Sapulpa's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
Sapulpa can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Memorial with a sharp 56-30 win. Given Sapulpa's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Memorial is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sapulpa's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Riki Mcquarters, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals, and Tyla Heard, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Heard has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailynne Disaya Parker, who scored five points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Holland Hall came up short against McAlester on Friday and fell 63-50.
Sapulpa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Holland Hall, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Sapulpa against Holland Hall in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 86-34 win. Will Sapulpa repeat their success, or does Holland Hall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
