On Tuesday, the Delcastle Technical Cougars faced the Sanford Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Delcastle Technical had to suffer through a rough 80-46 loss at the hands of Sanford. Delcastle Technical lost against Sanford in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-38 score last time.
It was another big night for Jordan Spencer, who scored 19 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds for Sanford. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Reeve Sysko, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 1 assists.
Delcastle Technical's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sanford, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Delcastle Technical will be home for the holidays to greet Red Lion Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Red Lion Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Sanford and Elizabeth will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th at.
