The Mid-Carolina Rebels can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took down Emerald 62-44. That 62-44 margin sets a new team best for Mid-Carolina this season.
Mid-Carolina can attribute much of their success to Jacob Clark, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Clark has scored at least 25% of Mid-Carolina's points. Kaden Myers was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists.
Mid-Carolina pushed their record up to 5-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Emerald, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Carolina will take on Ninety Six at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Emerald, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodruff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodruff and Emerald are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
