Kyle Moore was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Jaxon McClintock and Kyle Rankin stepped up to the plate in a big way. McClintock went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI, while Rankin scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two hits gave McClintock a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge came up short against Southern on Monday, falling 13-3.
