Meanwhile, Upsala put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Swanville, posting a 74-46 win on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Upsala.
Jack Primus was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-10 from long range and dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Primus is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Boeckermann, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
St. John's Prep's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Upsala, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
St. John's Prep might still be hurting after the 56-35 defeat they got from Upsala in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Primus, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds.
