The West Laurens Raiders managed to keep up with the Griffin Bears until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. West Laurens'  rough  66-44 loss to Griffin  might stick with them for a while. West Laurens has struggled against Griffin recently, as their  contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 West Laurens lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Jarissa Robinson, who  scored 20 points along with five  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Brookyln Jackson, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 12  rebounds.
  Camiya Starks continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Griffin,  scoring 22 points along with seven  steals and six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Starks has scored all season.  Zamiyah Hosley was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with seven  assists and five  steals.
 West Laurens' defeat  ended a three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-11. As for Griffin, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Laurens will take on Dodge County at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Dodge County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Laurens in Georgia (Dodge County is ranked 83rd, while West Laurens is ranked 305th). As for Griffin, they will be playing at home against Spalding at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Spalding is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
