The Western Plains Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 46-24 loss at the hands of Golden Plains. Western Plains has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madelyn Kraus, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 50% of Western Plains' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Spangler, who scored seven points along with five assists and two steals.
Western Plains dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Golden Plains, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Western Plains will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Golden Plains, they will take on the Huskies at TBD on Friday. Northern Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three matches.
