The Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ascent Classical Academy. Golden View Classical Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ascent Classical Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Several Sentinels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sarah Hermanson, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Zoe Jones, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Golden View Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Ascent Classical Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
Golden View Classical Academy will be playing at home against Clear Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Golden View Classical Academy is ranked 290th, while Clear Creek is ranked 310th). Ascent Classical Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mile High Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. Mile High Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ascent Classical Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
