The team relied heavily on Aaron Rayo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Eli Daniel was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one triple.
Vallivue hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emmett struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against McCall-Donnelly as they made off with an 18-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Chargers, who have now won 11 contests in a row.
Tyler Romine was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Chad Timmons was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Eli Hamby, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Vallivue's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Cole Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
Both Vallivue and Cole Valley Christian just can't seem to miss. The Falcons have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Cole Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits.
