Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Many Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 40-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. Many's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
St. James was led to victory by Brayden Williams and Kani King-young. Williams rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns, while King-young rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. King-young was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to St. James' defense and their three sacks. Nicholas Chopin was especially locked on to Many's QB and sacked him twice.
Many's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for St. James, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Many does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. James will head out on the road to face off against Sterlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sterlington is on a six-game streak of home wins, St. James a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
