Basketball Recap: Crosby's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Crosby unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Paetow Panthers 57-53. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Panthers are ranked 178th).

Crosby's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EVAN EGANS, who posted nine points. PHILLIP JACKSON was another key player, putting up eight points.

Crosby's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Paetow, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Crosby and Clear Springs will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Paetow, they will be taking part in a tournament against George Ranch at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
