The High Plains Storm sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over the Osceola Bulldogs. High Plains can attribute much of their success to Brodey Spurling, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Hans, who posted nine points.
Osceola's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelby Neujahr, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Neujahr has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Santos, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points.
The victory made it two in a row for High Plains and bumps their season record up to 15-7. As for Osceola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.
High Plains wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-46 loss against Fullerton on the 25th. As for Osceola, they have also already played their next game, a 65-55 win against Deshler on the 25th.
