Baseball Recap: Madison La Follette Comes Up Short

Madison La Follette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madison West Regents. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Lancers' highest-scoring game to date.

Miles Fitz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Rudy Renteria, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Madison La Follette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Madison West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
