After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marlin, the Dawson Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 44-7 victory over Wortham. That looming 44-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dawson yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Callie Marberry, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joselynn Wilson, who scored four points along with nine steals.
Dawson's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Wortham, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Dawson will be playing at home against Hubbard at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Wortham, they will head out on the road to square off against Mart at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mart is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
