Video: Deandre Ayton highlightsWatch the 7-foot, 260-pound center dominant in high school much like he's doing now in college. Arguably the biggest name heading into the NCAA Tournament,
Deandre Ayton of Arizona told MaxPreps last spring that he just wanted to bring "hope back to Tucson."
That and a spot in the Final Four.
As the No. 4 seed in the South, the Pac-12 Conference champs will have a tough road with top seed Virginia on their side of the bracket. Arizona (27-7) opens Thursday against Buffalo (26-8) on CBS.
With Ayton in the middle, anything is possible. He's averaging 20.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game this season for the Wildcats.
Ayton is projected as a top pick by
CBSSports.com experts Reid Forgrave and Gary Parrish. It wouldn't be a shocker to see him become
the top pick with a big showing in the Big Dance.

DeAndre Ayton had a nice mid-range jumper even in high school at Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix).
