Softball Recap: Nuview Bridge Wins Going Away Against Hamilton

Nuview Bridge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hamilton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Nuview Bridge put the hurt on Hamilton with a sharp 20-8 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sofia Barrera was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing eight bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Lyla Dixon was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Nuview Bridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Nuview Bridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.7 runs over those games. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
