Chloe Carawan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Heather Scales was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Dawson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Donelson Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ezell-Harding Christian only posted an OBP of .333.
Goodpasture Christian came out on top against Nashville Christian last Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Eagles. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Serenity Harrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Laura Beth Blessing and Brooklyn Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Blessing went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Jones got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Faith Ivy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
